Since I was able to improve my life that much and make it up to 6-figures, I started to help others to find a way to improve their life with blogging as well. And the results are amazing.

Want to join and become a blogger to make money without even leaving your comfort zone?

That’s not a problem.

And by that, I mean, that with blogging, there is literally NO problem. Everything is super simple.

Step by step, you will have an opportunity to get there!

But first, you need to learn how to start a WordPress blog on Bluehost.

We’ve been asked for it and we decided to put it together and publish a guide.

You are just about to start a new chapter of your life!

Total Freedom is on its way!

Making money from home or wherever you want, whenever you want, however you want… Live life to its fullest, while you are your own boss and still make more money than you might’ve ever been able to at your 9-5 job. Isn’t it a dream come true?

Yes… It is possible… Not just possible… It is what a lot of people including me, already do…

It’s all up to you!

With time, I tried a lot of ways to teach people how to start a blog to make money but figured out that in this case, the best way to learn is to force things.

What I mean by forcing is to just go ahead, come up with an idea and launch a site… Right away!

By doing that, you are able to avoid “overthinking” and doubting things.

That will only lead to thoughts that have nothing to do with reality.

You just do it! There is absolutely no real reason why you should not.

The process of learning gets a little annoying from time to time, but since you already launched a site, you will want to make money out of it as well, right?

Want to start – JUST START. You will figure out the rest in no time. That’s how a lot of people did that.

Trust me when I say – That’s the best way to start!

Keep in mind that – That’s definitely the only time that you have to force things.

Now it’s time to get back to our initial plan.

Since we decided that the first step for beginners is actually to JUST START we need to talk about that process step by step.

As we mentioned, everything is available and is within the click, without any need for any additional knowledge of programming, photoshop etc.

At this point, you will need 4 things to start a blog.

  1. The domain for your first/soon-to-be successful blog.

  2. Hosting – A.k.a. the server for your blog.

  3. Install CMS (Remember we said that you don’t have to do any programming on your own? That’s exactly what Content Management System does for you, you just hit install and that’s it.)

  4. Customization – the visual and functional (you are going to love how you can go from zero to the level that used to be the result of months of work by professionals in that field just a couple of years ago. All you need is – CLICK-CLICK).

Once you finish these stages, you will have a fully functional and customized blog that is ready to receive the traffic and turn it into an income.

According to my research – That’s exactly what you need to get started and avoid risking to quit your dream which is so close!

So, without further ado:

Step by step guide to learn how to start a WordPress blog on Bluehost

0. Come Up With An Idea

Before launching your first blog, you probably need to think about what you really want to write about. You are going to spend a lot of time to make most of it.

Think about it, you want to jump right into it and START your journey. What do you want your future website to be about?

Let me advise you a couple of popular ideas.

  • Fashion
  • Beauty
  • Style
  • Parenting
  • Health
  • Fitness
  • FInances
  • (Your) Hobby
  • Sport

Click here to check out my article about other ideas as well.

Maybe you have your own idea.

Or maybe, you don’t even have one. You don’t have to… Some “blogger’s plan”s’ followers just launched a website with a random nonsense name and only after that started to figure out what they will write about.

That is totally fine. Maybe even better than having an idea as a beginner.

Remember, it’s all about STARTING your blog, forcing yourself to get into it and avoid quitting your amazing journey ahead of you before it even started.

Decided which way you will go? Let’s go on…

1. Pick A Domain

Now before we go to launching a website we need to pick a domain name.

What is a domain? Well, think of it as a shortcut (or a link) to access your website.

www. … whatever you want to call your website … .com/net/org,etc…

In most cases, you need to think about the domain that can be related to the topic you are going to dedicate your blog to.

On the other hand, you may not do it as well and come up with something creative.

Either way, domain names don’t matter that much. People will access your blog if they want to see your content and not because of your catchy domain name.

However, you might get bonus visits for your right-on-point domain name though.

It’s up to you.

Check if your domain name is available by typing it below.

.com names are better when it comes to free traffic through search engines, but other ones are great as well.

The domain name will be free once we get to the next step of the process to start a blog.

I rarely spend a lot of time on thinking about the domain name. But if you want some help with picking one( just picking, you don’t want to pay for it right now because you can get it for free later on), you can visit this site called NameMesh.com and have fun with great names it will offer you. Enter a word (or keyword) and enjoy the ideas.

Pick your domain name and come back to this step-by-step guide.

You came up with an idea? Great. Now it’s time to choose your hosting plan and as a bonus get that domain name for free!

2. Choose A Hosting Plan

Ok, now we moved on to step 2 of our “how to start a WordPress blog on Bluehost” guide!

We already discussed what is “a domain”. Now you need (Or maybe you don’t) to understand why you need the hosting.

Your hosting is the space where all of your content is stored. Just like a hard drive on your computer.

Think of it as a folder on your desktop. In order to access the content which is in that folder, you need to click the icon twice, right?

Well, that icon is just like the domain name and your folder is your hosting a.k.a. the server.

Whatever you do on your blog, is on your server and your hosting provider is taking care of its safety.

You want to receive visitors to your blog 24/7. That’s why it is important to pick a hosting plan which is trustworthy and works flawlessly all the time.

While there are a lot of great hosting providers, Bluehost is definitely one of the bests (and especially great for beginners).

Their target market is mostly filled with beginners or new bloggers with no experience. This is why their platform is recommended for everyone who is starting their blogging career. They made everything extremely simple, newbie-friendly and easily customizable. One click to install WordPress, another click to pick from free themes. Their support works 24/7. What else can you need as a beginner?

Oh, and since I have a strong business relationship with them and they host a lot of my blogs, they offer the discounted prices to people that I invite through this link.

Ready to take the most important step in your career of being a blogger? to START?

Here’s a link to your first step!

Follow this link and click the “get started now” button.

You will be redirected to the page of options offered by Bluehost.

Since this is your first blog and your initial goal is to just start the cheapest option of 3.95 per month (you are welcome for a discount) is great for you.

Make your choice and go on…

Remember, we already picked a domain on at stage one, right? Now it’s time to get it!

Once you choose a hosting option you want, you can pick a domain name.

Enter the name only (without .com .net .blog etc.) and click next.

Now Bluehost will reserve your domain name for a limited time (but not too long though, so you need to take an action asap)…

Now, the next page will load.

On this page, you have to fill all that boring information about yourself.

Once you scroll down you will see the package option you picked and an option to pick the duration of your hosting agreement.

All of the prices should be discounted by now because you are using our discount code.

We want to stick with the cheapest option and 3.95 per month for 3 years. I advise doing just that.

You are free to pick other options as well (they are also discounted), but it will cost more in a long run. My advice is – You are starting this thing for a great goal, which will last way more than 3 years, keep that in mind and base your decision on that mindset.

Now, look at the additional options… Honestly, for starters, you don’t need any of them. But you can use “domain privacy protection” if you want to keep your personal information private.

Now scroll down for payment information. Fill the form, check the terms agreement below and click the submit button.

Now it’s time to be proud of yourself!

Congratulations! You just made the most important step towards your goal.

You’ve just officially STARTED!

It’s too late to go back now! you officially own a blog which is online and ready to get you some money!

Now…

You could be thinking that you already learned how to start a WordPress blog on Bluehost because you actually started it, but not so fast!

Now you need to make your blog visitor-friendly as well! And it all starts with C.M.S.

3. Install C.M.S. (WordPress)

We already mentioned it a couple of times… World of online marketing is super simple by now and people are constantly working to make it even simpler!

CMS (Content Management System) is just amazing. With little to no knowledge of creating a website, you can create one which will be just as good as the one that professional has made from zero.

Plus you can add all these amazing features (Plugins) which will make your blog even cooler and more functional.

Even though there are a lot of great CMS platforms, the most popular one that you’ve probably heard of is – WordPress.

WordPress is definitely one of the bests when you need to launch a site as a beginner. Hell… Not just a beginner, everybody uses it. Even this site is built on WordPress platform.

And it is not a matter of, you-do-what-you-can-at-this-stage. You just do it because it is all you need.

Most of the hosting providers offer WordPress installation in their package.

The one that we used (Bluehost) and bought hosting and domain from, made it super simple and FREE. All you need after you claim your blog is to click a couple of “next”s.

Okay, let me guide you through…

You are already an owner of a blog. Now it’s time to choose a password.

You can pick any password just make sure that it is safe and write it down!

Bluehost Password

Great!

Now it’s time to see the amazingness and install the WordPress without any extra effort!

Actually, you need to choose a theme for that! (Don’t worry you’ll be able to change it later on as well!).

Bluehost Theme

Aaaaaand…

Bluehost Done

Now you can just go to the dashboard:

Bluehost Admin

You are all set!

Remember how I told you that everything is ridiculously simple? I think you can’t argue with that!

So now you have your website which is fully functional. People can actually visit it and surf your blog.

You can just create a new post and the world will be able to see is as well.

This way you literally learned how to start a WordPress blog on Bluehost, right?

But even this is not it yet.

You want to make it look great as well and add a couple of plugins that will make your blog more functional.

That leads us to one final step – to pick a theme.

4.Mish-Mash The Visual And Functional Side

At this stage, you want to customize your blog. You already have one, but it probably doesn’t look as great as you want it to.

Don’t worry… You have a lot of options.

Of course, there are free themes. You probably understand that they are not as great as the paid ones, but are still great for a beginner.

So there is nothing wrong with free ones. To use them, just go to your admin panel, and scroll over the “appearance” button on the left side.

That’s where you should see the “themes” tab.

Click on it…

Now you see all of the themes that you already “own” and are installed. To install some other free themes, Click on the “add new” button at top of the screen.

Once again, there is nothing wrong to use a free theme. In fact, a lot of bloggers are using free ones to this day.

With that being said, you want to learn as much as you can at the very beginning of your career.

Paid ones are:

  • Easier;
  • Look better;
  • More functional;
  • WAY more customizable;
  • Give you a better understanding of what you can do with your WordPress site;

That’s why I highly advise you to pick a pro theme and get used to it in order to “feel” how you can customize your blog.

And they don’t cost a lot as well. 50-100$ and you get all of these benefits.

But you have to know how to find the best ones…

Got your back with this one as well!

Click this link to check out some of the best themes that are available!

But not just any themes… Of course, you can go to this link and pick the one that you like the most…

But let me advise you a couple of my favorite ones that I teach people to start with.

In fact, I will not confuse you with a lot of options and will give you the best one – #1 Selling theme of all time called Avada

The reason why this theme is so popular is that it is super customizable and easy to use.

Plus you can find all the answers that you can come up with by just googling them.

Since you want to learn as much as you can, as fast as you can and avoid getting confused as a beginner, this theme is probably the best option.

Let’s not forget about the plugins.

To install plugins go back to the left menu and scroll over “plugins”. Click “Add New” and enjoy some amazing plugins that will make your blog so much cooler and functional.

That’s it… If you’ve followed a recommended strategy of starting a blog all along, not only you learned how to start a WordPress blog on Bluehost, but you’ve actually started one!

Now it’s time to learn how to get traffic and monetize!
